Posted June 27th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Jack Morrissey is well known in the twitter world for answering fan questions regarding both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2. Jack is of course, Breaking Dawn director, Bill Condon’s, partner - and therefore privy to some pretty inside information. Once again, Jack was back answering questions, this time in reaction to the teaser trailer and some more specifics for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Read more below:

Q: In the posters we see Edward with a kinda classic look like in the 1st 2 films. Will he wear clothes like this in BD2?
Jack: Yes, everything you’ve seen on the EW covers and posters are actual costumes seen in the film.

Q: Why is BD2 coming out over a year after it was filmed and BD1 came out in theaters?
Jack: There are over TWO THOUSAND visual effects shots that need to be finished.

Q: If we don’t get the full trailer ’til fall, do we still get scenes at Comic Con anyway?
Jack: You’ll see stuff you haven’t seen yet inside Hall H for the last Twilight panel at SDCC. Better get down there!

Q: By the teaser, there will be a lot of the Volturi, right?
Jack: Yep, a whole field full of ‘em. “They even brought the wives.” P.S. So much Aro and Jane for you to look forward to.

Q: Does Nessie get a Cullen Crest necklace?
Jack: Not quite - she wears another accessory of significance.

Q: Will we see more of baby Nessie with Edward and Bella or will it be everything with Mackenzie?
Jack: Both, and also other growth between. Half-human/half-vampire kids - they grow up so fast!

Q: When in the movie do we first get to see Renesmee?
Jack: Just as soon as her vampire Mom gets to see her.

Q: Bella and Edward will go to Alaska to find Denali’s clan contrary to the book where they wait for everybody?
Jack: Correct. It’s in the teaser trailer.

Go check out all of the Q&A over at Team Jack here.

Thanks for the tip Noor!

The Score for ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 1′ Has Been Recorded!

Posted September 16th, 2011 By: Evie 1 Comment »

Jack Morrissey, ever the best source of information in the world for Breaking Dawn movie information, was back on twitter today. Jack is as you know, Bill Condon’s partner, and was with Bill and Breaking Dawn composer Carter Burwell as they went to work getting the score recorded for Breaking Dawn - Part 1. Jack’s exciting news today was that the score has now been recorded! He goes on to tell us that the score was recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios and some rather famous Twilight friends even stopped by to say hello to Carter Burwell. Check it all out after the jump:

Studio 1, where all the aforementioned scores were recorded, minutes prior to the last session on Tuesday evening.

Two morsels for Friday: *The score is recorded. *I thought you’d be interested in hearing that NEW MOON composer Alexandre Desplat and ECLIPSE composer Howard Shore both happened to be in London this week and stopped by to visit TWILIGHT and BD composer Carter Burwell. *Lastly — for the moment, anyway — the score was recorded at historic Abbey Road Studios (http://www.abbeyroad.com/) Still owned by the Beatles. All six STAR WARS scores were recorded there, as were all three LORD OF THE RINGS scores (also by Howard Shore), and at least HARRY POTTER 7

New Details About Robert Pattinson and Renesmee’s Lullaby in ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′

Posted August 24th, 2011 By: Evie 6 Comments »

Jack Morrissey was back on twitter today, cheerfully answering fan questions as always. As you know, Jack is Bill Condon’s partner and probably has better knowledge about the state of both parts of Breaking Dawn than most anyone. Today we got a little more information about a certain scene that everyone is very excited to see. Jack confirmed what we previously found out from Carter Burwell, that Robert Pattinson will be playing Renesmee’s Lullaby as Edward Cullen. Then he went into additional details, letting us know that Rob would definitely be playing the lullaby on piano, with “his daughter” sitting next to him! Check out more below:

“He and Bill are a great team. So far, two great scores have come from their collaboration. Two down and at least two to go!”

(@twilightus said: “We see that @carterburwell has confirmed that Edward Cullen will play “Renesmee’s Lullaby” in BD2. SQUEE!!”)

Jack replies: “This is correct.” “…on the piano, with his daughter beside him obviously.”

(@smurfy_tapz said: “The Twilight score was the best in the saga. Thanks to Bill for getting Carter Burwell back to end the series and lend a more credible continuity to these movies. In Burwell’s website, I once read his story about Bella’s Lullaby and how it “was not written to be a lullaby but to speak of love - ecstatic, tormented love”. I wished they had used this piece of music as the anchoring sound throughout the saga, but I’m glad it’s not too late. Can’t wait for BD1 and BD2.”)

Jack replies: “Thank you so much. There was never any doubt in Bill’s mind that Carter would score the films.”

What do you think of Edward playing Renesmee’s Lullaby with her sitting right next to him? (Group awww!)
