Posted June 27th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Jack Morrissey is well known in the twitter world for answering fan questions regarding both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2. Jack is of course, Breaking Dawn director, Bill Condon’s, partner - and therefore privy to some pretty inside information. Once again, Jack was back answering questions, this time in reaction to the teaser trailer and some more specifics for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Read more below:

Q: In the posters we see Edward with a kinda classic look like in the 1st 2 films. Will he wear clothes like this in BD2?
Jack: Yes, everything you’ve seen on the EW covers and posters are actual costumes seen in the film.

Q: Why is BD2 coming out over a year after it was filmed and BD1 came out in theaters?
Jack: There are over TWO THOUSAND visual effects shots that need to be finished.

Q: If we don’t get the full trailer ’til fall, do we still get scenes at Comic Con anyway?
Jack: You’ll see stuff you haven’t seen yet inside Hall H for the last Twilight panel at SDCC. Better get down there!

Q: By the teaser, there will be a lot of the Volturi, right?
Jack: Yep, a whole field full of ‘em. “They even brought the wives.” P.S. So much Aro and Jane for you to look forward to.

Q: Does Nessie get a Cullen Crest necklace?
Jack: Not quite - she wears another accessory of significance.

Q: Will we see more of baby Nessie with Edward and Bella or will it be everything with Mackenzie?
Jack: Both, and also other growth between. Half-human/half-vampire kids - they grow up so fast!

Q: When in the movie do we first get to see Renesmee?
Jack: Just as soon as her vampire Mom gets to see her.

Q: Bella and Edward will go to Alaska to find Denali’s clan contrary to the book where they wait for everybody?
Jack: Correct. It’s in the teaser trailer.

Go check out all of the Q&A over at Team Jack here.

Thanks for the tip Noor!

Five Reasons to Be Excited for ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′

Posted June 21st, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

The brand new teaser trailer for Breaking Dawn - Part 2, definitely had us on the edge of our seats yesterday, giving us a tiny little glimpse of everything we want to see more of - Renesmee, new vampires with new powers, and of course the ominous Volturi. Here Next Movie has their top five reasons why the teaser trailer has us all psyched up for November. Read more below:

1. Bella Warrior:

At the tail end of the teaser as she’s lined up with her family and new friends, Bella (Kristen Stewart), watches as the immense Volturi guard descends upon the Forks clearing with a mean mug so fierce even we were shivering in our boots a little. Bella as a badass warrior vampire, finally? We’ve been waiting for that for four years now.

2. New Vampires:

Incoming! There are about two dozen new vampires tacking onto the “Twilight” cast list for “Part 2,” and the teaser trailer gave some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpses at just about every blimey one of ‘em. Some of the more enthralling new vamp flashes include Joe Anderson as the secluded and scruffy wanderer vamp Alistair, Lee Pace as the nomadic hottie Garrett and Judi Shekoni as the über-talented wild one from the Amazon, Zafrina. As Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black puts it, “Lotta red eyes around here.” Just the way we like it. More, more, more!

3. The Return of Aro:

Once Michael Sheen traded in his wolfy “Underworld” garbs for the graduation gowns Volturi capes in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” we were hooked. He’s now a staple of our “Twilight” experience. We missed him in “Eclipse” and sure wished there was more of him in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1,” but the new teaser more than makes up for all the Aro we’ve been missing. “Oh my,” he says, as only Michael Sheen can. Gotta love his campy evilness.

Marlane Barnes Talks ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ and Set Life with Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

Posted April 10th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Irish Central has a great new interview with new vampire, Marlane Barnes, who will be playing Maggie from the Irish Coven in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Marlane chats about how nice Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were on the set and then gives us a little bit of detail on the backstory she imagined for Maggie in Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Read more below:

Barnes also discussed her role as vampire Maggie, a member of the Irish Coven.

“The Irish coven has seen and experienced a lot. Literature speaks to the Irish as a people who have a huge history of enduring and suffering oppression. They are also big on family, so I chose that Maggie had once come from a big family. Even though she doesn’t remember a lot of it, she has a lasting impression that it is something worth fighting for. So, I felt very strongly that she would be committed to helping the Cullen’s stay together and be very suspicious of any peace offering from the Volturi,” said Barnes, who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a Master of Fine Arts in acting.

“I also felt that she was newer to being a vampire than Siobahn and Liam. They had seen and been through even more as a pair. The Irish coven is definitely a brave and resolute group – they do what they came to do and then they make their exit!”

The muli-talented actress says she is also working on a young adult supernatural historical fiction book of her own about a girl in 5th century Ireland.

“The fact that I was cast as an Irish vampire after having already spent a lot of time learning about the culture was pretty amazing! Not to mention that my boyfriend’s family is from Eniskillen, Ireland. I think Ireland and I are not finished yet!” she added.

Jamie Campbell Bower talks to us about Breaking Dawn Part 2 the final film in the Twilight Saga on the red carpet at the Jameson Empire Awards 2012 in London.

Thanks Noor!

I love Jamie so much. He gets so funny with interviewers when he’s talking about anything related to Twilight. It’s obvious he’s always trying to fluster them, (flip?!) and frequently does quite a good job!

What did you think of this interview with Jamie? Do you like Jamie’s sense of humor?

MyAnna Buring Talks ‘Breaking Dawn’, Tanya, and Why ‘Twilight’ Hits All the Right Notes

Posted March 4th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Entertainment.ie has a brand new interview with the absolutely gorgeous MyAnna Buring. MyAnna gives us a great glimpse of her casting experience, why she thinks Twilight is such a force, what we can expect from Tanya and the Denali Clan in Breaking Dawn - Part 2, plus much more. Read it all below:

So how did your part in the movie come about in the first place?

Well it was really straight forward actually. Basically I just got a call from LA, they had put out a casting call because they just couldn’t find the right fit for Tanya from what I can understand, and my manager here said ‘listen anyone can put themselves on tape so just go for it’, and it was very unlikely they’d see it but I’d do it anyway. I did it, it was a rushed job and I was actually on my way to shoot another film - Kill List - I hadn’t thought anymore of it and then two weeks later I got a call saying id gotten the job!

Deadly! You must have been a fan before to have auditioned for it?

Massive fan, yea. I read the books before first film came out and I loved them. I read them all in about a week and thought they were brilliant.

One week! I thought I was bad finishing Breaking Dawn in under 4 days. What is it about Twilight that you think has resonated around the world?

There’s a few things. For one there’s a heroine that people can really identify with, Bella. She’s a little bit clumsy and feels a bit awkward and an outsider and I think that is something a lot of people have felt at some point in their lives. And then the love story as well. I think we sort of are all fans of love really if you’re not then you’re too cynical aren’t you?

I’ll take your word for it so. Your role in part 1 of Breaking Dawn is quite small but we’ll be seeing more of you in the penultimate instalment?

Yea that’s right. Well obviously the Denalis are kind of more involved in the story in part 2. One of her sisters, Irina is the cause of why the Volturi are alerted to the existence of Renesmee. Tanya’s coven are the first to stand up and join forces against the Volturi with the Cullens and and Tanya is their leader, so yea, they play a slightly bigger part.

For the uninitiated, (shame on them) can you tell us a little more about the character you play?

Well Tanya Denali is the head of the Denalis. She’s a very old vampire who’s been around for thousands of years. She’s actually been described as being one of the original Succubi.

A Succi-whaty? This is getting awfully geeky now.

Essentially the Succubus is a mythical figure - who used to come in and cause trouble with innocent men.

Right, back to Tanya.

Tanya and her sisters have a bit of a back story. She also has a back story in that she has held a torch for Edward Cullen for hundreds of years, [he's only been around for 107, mind] and now with Bella on the scene, she believes that Bella is actually meant for him.

Read the full interview at Entertainment.ie here.

Thanks Noor!

I love MyAnna as Tanya, she’s perfect in the role. I’m excited to see more of her in Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

What did you think of MyAnna’s thoughts on Tanya and her feelings toward Bella?
