Posted June 27th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Jack Morrissey is well known in the twitter world for answering fan questions regarding both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2. Jack is of course, Breaking Dawn director, Bill Condon’s, partner - and therefore privy to some pretty inside information. Once again, Jack was back answering questions, this time in reaction to the teaser trailer and some more specifics for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Read more below:

Q: In the posters we see Edward with a kinda classic look like in the 1st 2 films. Will he wear clothes like this in BD2?
Jack: Yes, everything you’ve seen on the EW covers and posters are actual costumes seen in the film.

Q: Why is BD2 coming out over a year after it was filmed and BD1 came out in theaters?
Jack: There are over TWO THOUSAND visual effects shots that need to be finished.

Q: If we don’t get the full trailer ’til fall, do we still get scenes at Comic Con anyway?
Jack: You’ll see stuff you haven’t seen yet inside Hall H for the last Twilight panel at SDCC. Better get down there!

Q: By the teaser, there will be a lot of the Volturi, right?
Jack: Yep, a whole field full of ‘em. “They even brought the wives.” P.S. So much Aro and Jane for you to look forward to.

Q: Does Nessie get a Cullen Crest necklace?
Jack: Not quite - she wears another accessory of significance.

Q: Will we see more of baby Nessie with Edward and Bella or will it be everything with Mackenzie?
Jack: Both, and also other growth between. Half-human/half-vampire kids - they grow up so fast!

Q: When in the movie do we first get to see Renesmee?
Jack: Just as soon as her vampire Mom gets to see her.

Q: Bella and Edward will go to Alaska to find Denali’s clan contrary to the book where they wait for everybody?
Jack: Correct. It’s in the teaser trailer.

Go check out all of the Q&A over at Team Jack here.

Thanks for the tip Noor!

Variety is reporting what pretty much all of us have guessed would be happening this summer at Comic Con. The cast and crew from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will be making an appearance at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego. So far there are no details on who will appear or what will be shown during the panel. Read more below from Variety:

With Comic-Con a month away, Hollywood is firming up plans to haul its geek-friendly film fare to San Diego - though Paramount and 20th Century Fox have joined Relativity Media, DreamWorks and DreamWorks Animation in skipping the Hall H panels this year, with Universal still up in the air.

Sony and the merged Lionsgate-Summit, meanwhile, are understood to be planning a presence inside the San Diego Convention Center’s biggest space.

Kellan Lutz Talks ‘Twilight’, ‘Immortals’ and Future Career Plans

Posted August 7th, 2011 By: Evie 3 Comments »

While at Comic Con a couple of weeks ago, Kellan Lutz posed for some photographs and had a chat with Just Jared. Here Kellan talks about what it was like to conclude the Twilight Saga and how he originally was supposed to audition for Edward - but found Emmett more appealing. Read it all after the jump:

Just Jared: Talk to us about concluding the Twilight films now that you filmed the last 2 movies…

Kellan Lutz: I look back, and you know, I was working as an actor, it was really cool, I was very fortunate. I had just finished up Generation Kill which took me seven months in Africa and a very epic project to work with for HBO and then I got on the ride of Twilight and that took off and it’s like Superman, the ride at Six Flags, where you just shoot and you have no idea what’s going on and it just continuously gets higher and higher and more enjoyable.

JJ: Coming from the HBO projects, I’m sure you had many ideas for your career, not knowing Twilight would become what it was, did you almost turn down the role?

KL: Yeah, I didn’t want to do it. I spent so much time filming in Africa, seven months, and that’s a long time to be away from your family and dogs. My agent wanted me to read for Edward and I read the script and thought that character was too depressing for me right now, I want to do something where I smile. I wanted to take a break from acting and I said that, I turned it down, I turned down the audition a couple of times. Ryan, my agent at the time really knew it was going to be a special project so he told me to read the role of Emmett, and I read it, it was only about four lines, but he was the big brother, the comedic relief and I fell in love with him. I said “Sure, I would love to play this type of role”. I auditioned, and long story short, here I am finishing the saga and Emmett is going to be in my heart forever.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on ‘Breaking Dawn’ Challenges

Posted August 1st, 2011 By: Evie No Comments »

Moviehole too, caught some Breaking Dawn madness from last week’s Comic Con, and here they managed to get a dual interview with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Of course Breaking Dawn questions are asked, and the pair give their opinions on the split between the two parts of Breaking Dawn and what it was like to bring such a big story to the screen. Read more after the jump:

The previous films were fairly close to the books; what about ”Breaking Dawn”?

Kristen : It’s pretty true to the book – so if that’s what you thought about the previous films you’ll definitely [feel the same with Breaking Dawn]. The story this time is a little bit more life and death, in a realistic sense – - what with Bella pregnant with a demon baby. It’s the first time, I think, that you’re not worried about Edward and Bella breaking up, they’re actually working through issues that are kind of make or break… I don’t know how to say it without giving away all the story.

What do you think about them splitting “Breaking Dawn” into two movies?

Taylor : I think it’s perfect; it needed to be done. This Part 1 is amazing, I can’t wait for everyone to see it.

Would you say this was the most difficult book to bring to the big screen?

Absolutely. It was very challenging. There was a lot of stuff that was just.. difficult to show.. difficult to do.. and Jacob goes through a lot – I mean, his number one goal has been to always end up with Bella, and of course we know that doesn’t exactly happen; from the beginning of the movie to the end he changes a lot.. he’s forced to mature.

Julia Jones Says Leah is “Not So Angry” in ‘Breaking Dawn’

Posted August 1st, 2011 By: Evie No Comments »

Julia Jones may play tough girl Leah Clearwater in The Twilight Saga, but that doesn’t mean she was quite ready for the fan reaction at last weekend’s Comic Con. Here Julia tells MTV about her Comic Con experience, Leah’s character growth in Breaking Dawn, and what it was like to say goodbye. Check out the interview below:

“We’ve been in front of a lot of people before but this is a new experience for me, Comic-Con,” Jones said.

While her fellow castmembers had helped her prepare for the experience of doing fan events for “Eclipse,” Jones said this time they figured she would get the hang of things. “Now I think they just don’t pay attention: ‘She’s been here long enough, she’ll figure it out.’ ”

In “Breaking Dawn - Part 1,” Jones and the rest of the wolf pack are featured much more than they have been in previous installments, which gave the actress some room to expand on her character, Leah Clearwater. While Leah is characterized by her anger at Bella (Kristen Stewart) and the Cullens in “Eclipse,” in “Breaking Dawn,” fans will see that her rage has been tempered because a good portion of the story is told from werewolf Jacob Black’s (Taylor Lautner) perspective.

“I was thrilled when I read [the script] because she really has the opportunity to kind of grow and she’s not so angry anymore,” Jones explained. “I felt relieved for her when I read that, oh, my gosh, she can actually express these things she hasn’t expressed and go somewhere with it.”
