Jack Morrissey Answers Fan Twitter Questions for ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′

Posted June 27th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Jack Morrissey is well known in the twitter world for answering fan questions regarding both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2. Jack is of course, Breaking Dawn director, Bill Condon’s, partner - and therefore privy to some pretty inside information. Once again, Jack was back answering questions, this time in reaction to the teaser trailer and some more specifics for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Read more below:

Q: In the posters we see Edward with a kinda classic look like in the 1st 2 films. Will he wear clothes like this in BD2?
Jack: Yes, everything you’ve seen on the EW covers and posters are actual costumes seen in the film.

Q: Why is BD2 coming out over a year after it was filmed and BD1 came out in theaters?
Jack: There are over TWO THOUSAND visual effects shots that need to be finished.

Q: If we don’t get the full trailer ’til fall, do we still get scenes at Comic Con anyway?
Jack: You’ll see stuff you haven’t seen yet inside Hall H for the last Twilight panel at SDCC. Better get down there!

Q: By the teaser, there will be a lot of the Volturi, right?
Jack: Yep, a whole field full of ‘em. “They even brought the wives.” P.S. So much Aro and Jane for you to look forward to.

Q: Does Nessie get a Cullen Crest necklace?
Jack: Not quite - she wears another accessory of significance.

Q: Will we see more of baby Nessie with Edward and Bella or will it be everything with Mackenzie?
Jack: Both, and also other growth between. Half-human/half-vampire kids - they grow up so fast!

Q: When in the movie do we first get to see Renesmee?
Jack: Just as soon as her vampire Mom gets to see her.

Q: Bella and Edward will go to Alaska to find Denali’s clan contrary to the book where they wait for everybody?
Jack: Correct. It’s in the teaser trailer.

Go check out all of the Q&A over at Team Jack here.

Thanks for the tip Noor!

Five Reasons to Be Excited for ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′

Posted June 21st, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

The brand new teaser trailer for Breaking Dawn - Part 2, definitely had us on the edge of our seats yesterday, giving us a tiny little glimpse of everything we want to see more of - Renesmee, new vampires with new powers, and of course the ominous Volturi. Here Next Movie has their top five reasons why the teaser trailer has us all psyched up for November. Read more below:

1. Bella Warrior:

At the tail end of the teaser as she’s lined up with her family and new friends, Bella (Kristen Stewart), watches as the immense Volturi guard descends upon the Forks clearing with a mean mug so fierce even we were shivering in our boots a little. Bella as a badass warrior vampire, finally? We’ve been waiting for that for four years now.

2. New Vampires:

Incoming! There are about two dozen new vampires tacking onto the “Twilight” cast list for “Part 2,” and the teaser trailer gave some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpses at just about every blimey one of ‘em. Some of the more enthralling new vamp flashes include Joe Anderson as the secluded and scruffy wanderer vamp Alistair, Lee Pace as the nomadic hottie Garrett and Judi Shekoni as the über-talented wild one from the Amazon, Zafrina. As Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black puts it, “Lotta red eyes around here.” Just the way we like it. More, more, more!

3. The Return of Aro:

Once Michael Sheen traded in his wolfy “Underworld” garbs for the graduation gowns Volturi capes in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” we were hooked. He’s now a staple of our “Twilight” experience. We missed him in “Eclipse” and sure wished there was more of him in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1,” but the new teaser more than makes up for all the Aro we’ve been missing. “Oh my,” he says, as only Michael Sheen can. Gotta love his campy evilness.

Thanks to Twilight vef France, we’ve got some fantastic screen shots of a script and some storyboards that were on the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 DVDs, which give us some insight into what we get to see in Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Of course most notably is the famous arm wrestling scene between Bella and Emmett. Enjoy the storyboard pictures below:

Go see all of the storyboards at Twilight vef France!

Thanks Noor!

In addition to the Bella and Edward cottage scenes, and of course Nessie, I think the arm wrestling scene has got to be one of the most anticipated scenes from the book that we’ve yet to see. Bella and Emmett’s famous stand-off seems to be a favorite scene for a lot of us!

What do you think of these storyboards from Breaking Dawn - Part 2? Are you excited for the arm wrestling scene between Bella and Emmett?

Bella and Edward’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ Cottage Found in Vancouver?

Posted February 21st, 2011 By: Evie No Comments »

If you remember blogger Malicious Mandy back from the days of New Moon and Eclipse, well she’s back again and this time bringing us updates on the Breaking Dawn sets in the Vancouver area. Mandy has found what looks to be the beautiful little cottage that Esme has built for the new family of Bella, Edward and Nessie. See more below, *WARNING FOR SPOILERS*:

Bella’s description from Breaking Dawn:

“I stared into the violet dark. There, nestled into a small clearing in the forest, was a tiny stone cottage, lavender gray in the light of the stars. It belonged here so absolutely that it seemed as if it must have grown from the rock, a natural formation. Honeysuckle climbed up one wall like a lattice, winding all the way up and over the thick wooden shingles. Late summer roses bloomed in a handkerchief-sized garden under the dark, deep-set windows. There was a little path of flat stones, amethyst in the night that led up to the quaint arched wooden door.”

See all of the pictures at Malicious Mandy.

I say perfect!

What do you think of this little place as the cottage? Does it fit for you?

‘Breaking Dawn’ Renesmee Fan Art

Posted January 23rd, 2011 By: Evie 7 Comments »

If you haven’t seen these gorgeous pictures by the incredibly talented @iamsapphie and posted over at Mackenzie Foy.com, you would be completely missing out, so we had to make sure you saw them! All of the pictures feature a beautiful little Renesmee in various scenes. Check out a couple of them below:

Make sure you see them all here.

These are absolutely beautiful manipulations. They seem more like beautiful paintings and are definitely works of art. Little Nessie with wolf Jacob is just beautiful. It’s such a heart-warming scene. The picture of Renesmee and Aro is also gorgeous. It’s such a tense scene, and yet the art almost shows a kind of reverence depicted by Aro. These just blow me away!

What do you think of this fan art? Which scene with Renesmee is your favorite?

Stephenie Meyer Talks Volvos, Sequels with Renesmee and Leah and Edward’s Chivalry

Posted September 10th, 2010 By: Evie 3 Comments »

It’s Friday again! So that means we have yet more from the interview when Stephenie Meyer sat down with a few Twilight fansites right before the theatrical release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. This Friday Twilight Series Theories has a great transcription and audio clip of the part of the interview where Stephenie talks about her feelings on the Volvo color change in the movies, the characters she would most like to do sequels with and how she just enjoys writing - not to send out a message or make a point. Check out more below:

Fansite: If you were forced to write a sequel or some novella, which—what character or characters would you do?

SM: If I were to go ahead with sequels, and I think that I’ve already stated this in some book thing, I would tell it from two narrators again, although I think I’d switch back and forth and it would be Nessie and Leah. And you know it’s funny because a lot of people are like—I’ve read a lot of theories about why I felt compelled to have Bella have a baby and there’s only one reason and it’s not because—there isn’t a lot of really negative stuff—it’s not because you know Bella needed to have a baby or anything, it’s because I knew—it was really clear because I’d already done “Forever Dawn”—once Bella becomes a vampire she loses her relatability. But Nessie was created because she was the logical voice, you have someone who’s half-human, half-vampire who doesn’t fit in anywhere and is an outsider in some ways, but then loved and cherished by her family. But all the intricacies—she had so many problems, so many challenges so she was so attractive to me as a narrator. And then Leah, of course, obviously is left open, right? I can’t—I couldn’t solve all the problems in this because I didn’t want to end it. I mean clearly the Volturi, that wasn’t the end, end. I needed to get to an ending spot for now, but you know I…I just couldn’t see them, the Volturi—they’re smart, they’re patient, they’ve been doing this forever—they’re not going to get into this situation and not say, “Oh we need to reevaluate.” It didn’t make sense for me—them as characters to just go ahead with it, for me. But like, Nessie’s supposed to tell the story next and Leah has a story to tell too and so that’s where it would go.

You can listen to the interview and read the entire transcript at Twilight Series Theories here.

What do you think of Stephenie’s ideas for sequels with Leah and Nessie? What do you think of her views on why Edward behaves the way he does?
