Mackenzie Foy Revealed as Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ from Entertainment Weekly Cover

Posted June 13th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Last night we got our first sneak peek at Renesmee in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Now EW.com is bringing us even more of Renesmee with an exclusive first look from the upcoming new cover and feature of Entertainment Weekly. Check out the adorable Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee below:

It’s the beginning of the end. When The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters on November 16th, it will mark final installment in the blockbuster franchise. But that’s not to say it won’t pack a bunch of surprises—and several new characters. Chief among them is Renesmee, the half-human, half-vampire baby of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), who is played by Mackenzie Foy, 11. “It’s a hugely important part,” says director Bill Condon, who loved watching Foy and her older costars interact. “They were amazing with her,” he says. “It really brought something paternal out in Rob, and Kristen was especially protective. I’d have to interrupt them when they were in deep conversation to get going with a scene.” It helped that Stewart began her own acting career as a child, in movies such as The Safety of Objects and Panic Room. “I loved chatting with Mackenzie,” she says. “I’m always curious about what’s going on in the minds of kids on set. She’s really close to the age I was when I started.”

But Pattinson points out that having an impressionable youth on the set curbed certain cast members’ predilection for raucousness. “We’re all around the same age and we’re really not polite to each other anymore,” he says. “You’d have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around.” Or at least attempt to. “She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something.”

Get the full story over at EW.com here and be sure to pick up a copy of Entertainment Weekly for all of the exclusive pictures and interveiws available this Friday, June 15th.

Finally! I feel like I have literally been waiting years to see little miss Mackenzie officially as Renesmee (and honestly it might be years at this point!)

What do you think of Mackenzie as Renesmee in this exclusive look from EW.com? Does this make you more excited to see Breaking Dawn - Part 2 now?

Robert Pattinson is Still Modest and Hates the Nickname RPattz

Posted June 13th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Robert Pattinson has a great new interview with The Guardian, and from the sound of it, he’s still the same guy he was when he came into the Twilight Saga. Here we have Rob talking about his current career and what it’s like to be nervous about the reactions to Cosmopolis, and how he really hates who ever came up with the nickname of RPattz. Read it all below:

“I don’t really know how accepted I am,” says Robert Pattinson as he sips on an enormous paper cup of Coke. “Nothing ever matters to me apart from the people with negative opinions. That’s literally it. That always drives me on to the next thing. It’s funny, you just focus on them and then the next movie. That’s the only thing you’re thinking about when it comes out.”

For someone with the world at his feet – he has the Twilight franchise behind him and David Cronenberg’s icy drama Cosmopolis as his next release – Pattinson gives a good impression of a man plagued with self-doubt. “I’ve never really taken myself seriously as an actor,” he says, fresh off a plane from Germany, where, he notes by the by, everybody seems to hate him.

“It is surprising the amount of people who think I’m going to be really dumb,” he says. “I think they think anyone who has done teen movies is just an idiot. I don’t know, maybe I am. Some of the best actors, if you talk to them, they’re not the smartest people in the world.”

…..

“When I got this part,” he says, adjusting his cap, “every single article that came out, was, ‘R-Patz’s struggle for credibility!’; I don’t understand who invented that thing, ‘R-Patz’, I want to strangle them. But once you’ve made that step, everything afterwards is not like, ‘R-Patz’s continuing struggle for credibility!’ You’ve got to come up with something else, so it gets a little bit easier. I was always shit at auditions. Since Twilight, I’ve done two. One of them was for a job I’m doing now and it was really hard. Two really, really long auditions that everybody was going up for. I was so happy afterwards when I got it. And it was purely because of Cosmopolis that I was thinking, ‘You can go and do this as an actor, rather than just as the guy from Twilight, because you’ve got some foreign value now.’”

MTV Asks “Is ‘Twilight’ Really Over?”

Posted June 8th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

In light of recent comments made by Stephenie Meyer, Kristen Stewart and the now infamous Lionsgate executive, MTV is asking - “Is Twilight really over”?” See what you think of their reasoning below:

“I’ve been promoting ‘Snow White,’ and I get asked a lot of questions, especially about ‘Twilight,’ which I love. The most common one is like, ‘God, you must be so happy to get away from it. You must be so happy to just distance yourself from that as far away as you possibly can.’ I’m just like, ‘Shut up! What are you talking about?’ ”

Earlier this year, the chief executive of Lionsgate Entertainment, Jon Feltheimer, said he believes the vampire saga will remain valuable after the November 16 release of “Breaking Dawn - Part 2.” When asked if his company would helm any future “Twilight” projects, he said, “It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration. So the simple answer is ‘Boy, I hope so.’ ”

The film company’s co-chair, Rob Friedman, also commented on the franchise’s future, telling The Hollywood Reporter Lionsgate will be onboard if author Stephenie Meyer moves forward with the saga. “If she wishes to do it,” he said, “we’ll be there to support her.”

When MTV News caught up with Meyer on the set of her latest project, “The Host,” we asked if Edward, Bella and Jacob will be brought to life again — in print or onscreen. Her answer gave hope to “Twilight” fans everywhere when she revealed she already has the characters’ futures in mind.

“Things change so much from week to week, let alone year to year. I mean, there are other stories,” she said. “I have a really hard time putting down characters, and so I know what would happen.”

Jackson Rathbone Talks ‘Aim High’, ‘Twilight’, and Becoming a Dad

Hollywood TV has a nice little chat with Jackson Rathbone at the Writers Guild Awards where he made an appearance to support the writers for Aim High. Here Jackson chats about his experience with Aim High, his feelings on the Twilight franchise, and his excitement on becoming a dad for the first time. Check out the video below:

Jackson Rathbone was at the Writers Guild Awards today in Hollywood. While we had a chance, we talked with him about his series “Aim High”, the Twilight films, and congratulated him on his upcoming baby!

Very classy the way Jackson informed the reporter that he was there to support the writers of his show and didn’t really want to get into his personal life. He took the congratulations and then politely ended it there. Way to go Jackson!

Casey LaBow Talks ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and 2′

Posted February 14th, 2012 By: Evie 1 Comment »

The beautiful Casey LaBow was out doing some interviews in support of Breaking Dawn - Part 1 on DVD when About.com caught up with her. Here Casey chats about what she did to prepare for the role of Kate, her vampire superpower and what it was like to be on the Breaking Dawn set. Read more below:

What was your first reaction upon seeing yourself in costume as Kate?

Casey LaBow: “I got so excited. I got so excited and I was so bummed about the fact that we couldn’t take any pictures! I wanted to show my friends but we couldn’t.”

So, how much more are we going to see of Kate in Breaking Dawn Part 2? She’s an integral player in the book.

Casey LaBow: “Yes. I can’t say much. [Laughing] She’s all up in that situation. Let me say this, I think that the fans will happy.”

The wedding scene was one of the most anticipated scenes of the whole franchise. What was it like being on that set?

Casey LaBow: “Surreal. It was insane. It was the last thing we shot of the entire production, and so there’s a lot of emotion going on because for everybody it was coming to the end. It was a close of the whole thing. None of us were allowed to see Kristen in the dress until the moment. So all of those reactions are actual reactions to it. There were a lot of reasons behind that.”

What did you think of the dress?

Casey LaBow: “Beautiful. Gorgeous. I was not expecting that because Alice had a hand in it. I was expecting a little bit more fluff.”

Did you do anything extra for the DVD release?

Casey LaBow: “On this DVD there’s audio commentary from Bill Condon, there’s some stuff for the Team Edwards and Team Jacobs of the world, and some behind the scenes footage. And there’s a wedding video where everybody who was at the wedding got to say a few words, like a real wedding.”

Was that scripted?

Casey LaBow: “No, we came up with it on our own.”

Without giving anything away, how would you sum up Breaking Dawn - Part 2?

Casey LaBow: “Without giving any spoilers away…a whole lot of new vampires.”
