Rami Malek Likes the Look of His Superpowers in ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′

Posted August 18th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Summit Entertainment’s “New Face Fridays” with the Twilight Fansites is back again this week this time with our first member of the Egyptian Coven. First we had the chance to hear from Denali Coven members, Casey LaBow and MyAnna Buring, and then we heard from Amazon Coven members Judi Shekoni and Tracey Heggins. Now up we have Rami Malek who will be playing the lovable Benjamin from the Egyptian Coven. Read more below:

Have you gotten to see any of your scenes on film yet- and if so what you thought of the special effects?

“Great question I had an ADR* session, I’m sure you guys are familiar with that right?? (ADR stands for Automated Dialog Replacement) So I got to see some of the temporary effects they weren’t quite done but as far as I was concerned they were good enough for me- they really looked brilliant-vibrant and felt very real- I was happy to see that because there were points that I was concerned about- I’m always concerned watching a movie- when something looks as if it was developed from a computer and you can see when it looks generated by a computer it really takes one out of the film so I was happy to see that it really just looks as if I was doing these in reality”

What were some of your favorite moments during filming?- Do you want to talk about the end where they had a dancing scene?

“Yes I’m not the best dancer- so I can’t throw that one down as one of my top moments though it was fun to see Bill’s face light up when we surprised him like that- I don’t know what I’m allowed to talk about in that sense- Favorite moments I would say meeting a lot of this new cast and the old cast and establishing some great friendships. I’m going to see one of the actors right now I’m on my way driving to see one of them-I won’t tell you who it is. I’ve established some great relationships and it’s not often through work that you really hang on to people. It’s funny on a movie set people are always telling one another “I can’t wait to see you and talk to you and keep up this relationship” and I’ve had great experiences- after doing the Pacific I still hang out with all of the boys that we make believe fought a war with- And with this group- I’m not going to say I hang out with everybody but there’s a lot of phone numbers that get used in my little call log and vice versa which is nice I think I will know these people for a long time- most of them.”

New HQ Stills from ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ Featuring Bella, Edward, Renesmee and even Stephenie Meyer

Posted August 16th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Okay, so I don’t think we’ll actually see Stephenie Meyer in the meadow for Breaking Dawn - Part 2, it is still pretty cool to have that picture of her in the infamous meadow. It’s almost like she transported herself into her original dream. These new stills from Breaking Dawn - Part 2 originate from the Fall Preview Issue of Entertainment Weekly, but now we have them all blown up in gorgeous HQ. The stills feature some beautiful shots of Edward and Bella together (meadow!), a red-eyed vampire Bella, Edward as dad, Jacob, Renesmee and Bella at Christmas, and even another peek at the gorgeous Denali coven sisters with Eleazar and Carlisle. Check it all out below:

See these new stills full size and all of the stills from Breaking Dawn - Part 2 HERE.

How gorgeous does Kristen Stewart look as vampire Bella in that beautiful blue? Even with those odd red eyes, she looks breathtaking. I love how they changed her look enough to make her look distinctly different from her mortal self. Also, I just love Mackenzie as Renesmee. Every still I see of the little actress just makes me think she was cast absolutely perfectly. And did anyone else do an “aww” over the picture of Edward as dad, with that still of Edward and Renesmee?

What do you think of these new still from Breaking Dawn - Part 2? Which one is your favorite?

Stephenie Meyer Discusses the End of the ‘Saga’ and Which Film is Really her Favorite

Posted August 12th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

In the latest issue, the Fall Preview issue of Entertainment Weekly, author Stephenie Meyer chats with EW about her feelings on the end of the films for The Saga with Breaking Dawn - Part 2, who she’s really going to miss, her cameo in Breaking Dawn - Part 1, why Renesmee needed to have such a unique name, and which film is really her favorite. Check it all out below:

After Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is released Nov. 16, we’ll have reached the cinematic end of The Twilight Saga. How are you feeling?

I’ve been holding off the sadness, but it’s starting to get to me. I miss everyone - Kristen, Taylor, and Rob. I’m used to seeing them every day.

You even had a cameo in Breaking Dawn - Part 2, as a wedding guest at Edward and Bella’s wedding.

It wasn’t my idea - and I hated that dress! I hate to look at myself on film. But the actual experience, aside from freezing our butts off, was great. I was sitting with [producer] Wyck Godfrey, who has also been there since day one, and we made up a backstory: He was a deputy policeman, and our marriage was on the rocks because he was in love with [Bella's father] Charlie. We had a lot of fun sitting in that cold forest.

Do you have a favorite among the Twilight movies?

Not to say it’s the best, because all of them have things to recommend them, but I think New Moon is the one that most closely dovetails with what I had in my head. It might help that I love [director] Chris Weitz - he’s a dream to work with. Everyone was fun to work with, but Chris and I really got each other.

When you were writing the first Twilight, could you ever have imagined it would become such a phenomenon?

If I’d had any idea that anyone would see what I was doing, I’d have stopped immediately. I’d never have been able to finish it. It’s a huge amount of pressure, and it’s taken me forever to be able to call myself an author. I’m a reader, and to me authors are magical creatures.

Go pick up the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly - which is the Fall Preview Issue - for the entire interview!

Tracey Heggins on Girl Talk With Judi Shekoni and Mackenzie Foy From the Set of ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′

Posted August 11th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Summit Entertainment’s “New Face Fridays” with the Twilight Fansites is back again this week this time with the other member of the Amazon Coven. First we had the chance to hear from Denali Coven members, Casey LaBow and MyAnna Buring, and then last week we heard from Judi Shekoni. Now up we have Tracey Heggins who will be playing Senna of the Amazon Coven. Read more below:

Q: You were a big fan of the books and the franchise before getting cast. When you were cast who was the first person you told, when you were aloud to tell?

Tracey: Oh! My sister! My sister’s my best friend. It literally blew my mind, because I’m such a sic-fi, fantasy, you know, fan. And, I’m in love with love. Stephenie really captured that first love, that first passion. So, it was just an honor, I was jumping over the moon, and yelling! And, she was looking at me, my sister, and asking, “What the heck are you yelling about?” I was like, “I just got the job, it’s an amazing opportunity!”

Q: I’ve hear Mackenzie and Judi talk a lot about working with you, but I haven’t heard you talk about working with them. Can you talk a little about your relationship on set and off?

Tracey: Wow! They’re both my girls! I’m telling you… That Mackenzie is something beautiful and something special! She was my test student for my children’t books. I would read to her and she would give me her notes. She would come to set with pictures drawn of my characters, which was amazing. She’s just a sweet honest soul, she’s a nice little girl. We’d have walks looking at the ducks and things, we really honestly became friends and, well, I’m that age at heart! So what can I say? It’s not a stretch for me, I think I’m a little girl. And then, Judi, I cannot go shopping with her because we like the same things, and if I have a quarter in my purse we’ll go to the mall and figure out how to spend it. Judi is the best shopping mate of all time! She likes funky items. Even though we are so different, we are so much alike. Like, for instance, she’s got this ‘rocker’ kind of quality, and Iove classic things. But for some reason, we’ll end up buying the same things but putting them on totally different. It was truly a blessing.

Q: I was wondering if when you were preparing did you get a chance to talk with Stephenie about these characters, or was there any pow-wow about how she saw them and how you were going to portray them?

Tracey: Yeah, yeah! It was exciting! Very, very exciting! She was literally on set the whole time we were shooting and she was so available and so kind. So if we had any kind of question she was open to answer them. We’d ask, “What do you think we would do here?” And she was very receptive. That was really a blessing. I mean, I was in awe! I love Stephenie Meyer… I’ve read The Host, and everything. At first I was speechless, and then, she’s so warm and so kind, what can you say, but thank you!

Entertainment Weekly Previews ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ and Bill Condon Speaks Up

Posted August 7th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are gracing the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s Fall Move Preview issue as Edward and Bella Cullen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. As part of the feature, Bill Condon comments on the recent events that have gone on in the personal lives of his actors, and why we need to respect them. Check it all out below:

“The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” Bill Condon tells EW. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”

But beyond the intense media and public scrutiny into these young actors’ private lives, the turn of events also creates a real challenge for Summit, the studio releasing the film, as it gears up to promote the final installment. In other words: what happens during an international press tour and red carpet premiere when the two top-billed stars may or may not be speaking to each other? Nancy Kirkpatrick, the company’s head of worldwide marketing, tells EW, “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead.”

I love the whole idea of the locket in Breaking Dawn - Part 2. It’s such a touching little memento from the book - “plus que ma propre vie” (“more than my own life”) - and yet vitally important as well, I’m glad it didn’t get left out!

What do you think of this new still of Renesmee and Bella?
