‘The Muppets’ Parody ‘Breaking Dawn’ with “Breaking Prawn”

Posted October 28th, 2011 By: Evie No Comments »

Okay, it can hardly be called a real parody because it is rather a teeny tiny little clip, but all the same it is The Muppets and they are getting a little play on Breaking Dawn. Enjoy the clip below!

It’s almost Twilight, time for Breaking Prawn. You get it right, prawn and ….. dawn? (laughs)

Nice Pepe! In all seriousness, I really do love all the little parodies that people come up with. When something has gotten as big as The Twilight Saga has, how can you not see it turned into parodies? It’s all in good fun! Even a little something from The Muppets is pretty cool, I’ve loved them since I was tiny.

What did you think of the little Muppet parody for Twilight? Did it get a smile out of you?

‘Fred 2: Night Of The Living Fred’ Takes On ‘Twilight’

Posted October 22nd, 2011 By: Evie 3 Comments »

I’m sure you’re all familiar with internet celebrity Fred or Fred Figglehorn as he’s also known. Fred is starring in his second movie, Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred, and giving us a little bit of a (ahem) interesting parody of Twilight. Check it all out below:

For all your devotion to “The Twilight Saga,” perhaps you still feel that there’s something missing in the canon of Cullen-inspired entertainment? Something mysterious? Something essential?

Something like… THIS?!

This weekend on Nick, internet celebrity Fred Figglehorn is starring in his second movie: “Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred.” And while we’re not entirely sure how to describe the cinematic triumph that is Fred (except to say that his high-pitched voice makes our bellybutton area feel kind of funny), we do know that this very special, “Twilight”-inspired moment from the movie is an important addition to the vampire oeuvre. Especially since an early draft of the “Twilight” script did, in fact, include projectile Pomeranian shapeshifters.*

*Yeah, okay, no it didn’t.**
**BUT IMAGINE HOW CUTE.

Read the full story at MTV here.

I keep seeing previous for this on Nickelodeon, all I can say is *disturbed*… and I may have to watch.

What do you think of Fred taking on Twilight?

Looking for the Perfect ‘Twilight’ - Themed Nursery?

Posted October 10th, 2011 By: Evie 1 Comment »

If you’ve been on the lookout for that perfect, Twilight - themed nursery, then HGTV may have just what you need. Here we’ve got a partial list from the grand list of eight nurseries that hardcore Twilighters might need to consider. Check it all out after the jump:

A Majestic Vampire’s Coffin

The dramatic angular ceiling covered in romantic purple fabric resembles the inside of a vampire’s coffin. Continuing with the purple theme, this elegant nursery mixes shiny and dull materials, representing the contrast between Edward Cullen’s sparkling flesh and Bella’s human skin. Could this be a play on Renesmee being half human/half vampire?

The Italian Volturi Lair

The yellow-patterned walls combined with the antique-looking iron crib give this vampire’s lair Venetian festival appeal. This nursery is fit for royalty — or at least the Italian Volturi coven.

Alice’s Fancy Nursery

Just like Alice Cullen, this nursery is fancy, over-the-top and full of personality. The tall rails of the crib frame, topped with a laced canopy, make this preppy country club room even more dramatic.

See the full list of Twilight - themed nurseries at HGTV.com here.

Wow, I’m not even sure what to say with these…

(Thanks Noor! Via Twilightish)

What do you think of the Twilight - themed nurseries? Which one is your favorite?

The Best Scenes from ‘The Twilight Saga’ Movies Thus Far

Posted October 9th, 2011 By: Evie 5 Comments »

Today Movies over at MSNBC is listing their top moment from each of the first three movies in The Twilight Saga. That means we get a best moment from Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. Here we have their clips from Twilight and New Moon. Does vampire baseball sound familiar? Enjoy it all below:

‘Twilight’

The prom, maybe? Are you kidding? VAMPIRE BASEBALL! They even have old-fashioned uniforms and striped socks, and they can play only in thunderstorms because the thunder hides the incredibly loud noise generated when they hit the ball at approximately eight jillion miles per hour. And once the Cullens suit up to toss the ol’ horsehide around, whoops, three uninvited vamps show up and start gunning for Bella. But in the meantime, VAMPIRE BASEBALL!

‘New Moon’
Oh, the Volturi. Forget Bella and Edward and Jacob. I would read an entire series of books just about them. Anyway, Edward thinks Bella is dead so he goes to Volterra, Italy, to reveal himself as a vampire in public, knowing the regal Volturi vamps will have to kill him then. So in the middle of an Italian square full of red-robed extras, he de-shirts, and Bella races across the square just in the nick of time to save him. Team Volturi!

Read the full story including the scene from Eclipse at Today Movies here.

Seriously, the first thing anyone thinks of when they think of The Twilight Saga movies… VAMPIRE BASEBALL! (Thank you Muse!)

Do you agree with their three top scenes from Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse? What do you think the top scenes will be from Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Breaking Dawn - Part 2?

‘Phineas and Ferb’ Take on ‘Twilight’

Posted October 9th, 2011 By: Evie 2 Comments »

Everyone is eager to relate anything they can to Twilight these days, hoping to draw the attention of the many fans or just having a little fun with it. The latest to take on Twilight is the cartoon Phineas and Ferb which will draw on both the vampires and werewolves from The Saga while using some voice talent from True Blood. Check out a clip from Phineas and Ferb below:

“That’s the Spirit!: The Curse of Candace” - Phineas and Ferb

True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are going to be appearing on a Disney series, specifically on Phineas and Ferb. The two are lending their voices to the animated series’ Halloween flavored episode. They appear in the segment called “The Curse of Candace”. Phineas and Ferb’s older sister, Candace, goes to see the newest teen vampire movie, which is a parody of Twilight in the best way.

Moyer, who is best known as the vampire king, Bill Compton, is voicing a pretty boy vampire named Jared. Paquin voices the fake movie’s female lead, Kristen. If you’re sharp like a tack, you’ll notice Kristen is named after Twilight’s star, Kristen Stewart.

You can check out a clip of the episode at TV Guide. Now if you’ve ever seen Twilight, you’ll know there’s also a teenaged werewolf. Phineas and Ferb includes one of those in its parody, and who better to voice a teen wolf than the original Teen Wolf himself, Michael J. Fox. Fox voices the well-built, shirtless and appropriately named Michael. For a Disney series, this parody is pretty sharp. I say we all give it a round of applause for going there and using True Blood stars and Fox to make it’s jokes all the more hilarious.

See the full story at Boomtron here.

I love Phineas and Ferb, it’s cute, smart and fun, and they have the best theme song. The song is written by the band Bowling for Soup, and is a blast to hear live. I can’t believe I didn’t hear about this episode sooner, I’m going to see if I can catch it again this month.

Did you catch this episode of Phineas and Ferb? If you didn’t see it, tune in to The Disney Channel, they frequently replay episodes! For instance the episode will be played at 9am EST and 4pm EST tomorrow (10/10/11), 5:30am EST on Tuesday (10/11/11), and 7:30pm EST Wednesday (10/12/11). You get the idea, tune in this month and you’ll see it!
